For a couple of weeks we have been learning about Cultural Games in Panui. The different games we learned about were Tinikling, Kabaddi, Pass the Parcel, Catch the Dragons Tail, and Luta de Galo. Well we were learning about it we got to play Catch the Dragons Tail.  I was really glad we got to play it because it was really fun.

 At the end when we finished writing we had to create instructions about how to play it. There was a site where we could find how to play all the games. A few weeks later we got to create a slide animation on which game you liked. We got to pick buddies. We had to share the slide with your buddy so they could help you make it. Once we'd shared it we pick a game. The game we chose was Catch the Dragons Tail. My favourite part about this activity was creating a writing about how to play it. l really liked this activity because it helps me learn new games I haven't heard of before.   For this activity I learnt that there is other cultural games out there. I think my favourite game would be Catch the Dragons Tail or Pass the Parcel.

How to play tag

Good morning everyone today I will be talking about my writing. We have been doing procedure writing about how to play a game. I chose to write about tag. We had  to write about how to play a game. We had to write down, what the goal were, what you will need, and all the steps on how to play. What I wrote for the goal was try and tag the runners while they run. I enjoyed writing the steps down. I think this is helpful to write the steps  because other people can learn new games. 

How we made it was to make a google doc. Then write the title and write down how to play the game. After I finished it I added some colours to the text.  I had a really fun time creating this piece of work  and I'm sure my class did to.  My favourite thing  about making the activity was changing the colour and font. This was an easy activity for me because we just had to write how to play a game. I liked making this so other people can learn new games.

Wellbeing with Miss McGrath

Today all the Year five's had Miss McGrath in the class because all the Year sixes went on a trip. The first thing we did was talk about the Well Being Survey. A little bit after we did some warm ups. Then we carried on talking about the Well being Survey. 

Miss McGrath told us to stand up and and walk around the room. She played music and we walked around the blue and green room. When the music stopped we had to find the closest person next to you and tell each other what you were grateful about today. Miss McGrath played the music again and we did the same thing. We had to go in the blue room and get in a circle. Miss McGrath explained what we had to do. Miss McGrath asked people who did they talk to. They had to tell who they were talking to. Once they told who they were talking to Miss McGrath asked the person who was talking to them what their buddy said. They had to remember what their buddy said. Some people forgot. 

After that McGrath told us to sit on the mat. She wrote When I Don't Like What is Happening on the Board. Miss Miss McGrath asked us if somebody is bullying you what could you do. There were only a few hands up so she told us to turn to a buddy and think about what you could do. Miss McGrath told us to turn around. A few people started putting their Hands up now. Miss McGrath picked somebody with their Hands Up. Miss McGrath wrote what they said on the board. There were just a few people putting their Hands Up. 

A few minutes later we stopped. Miss McGrath gave us a hard paper and told us to find a seat. She told us what to do with it. We had to fold it. After we folded it she told us to colour it, write numbers on it and, last write positive words on it. She told us it was called Fortune Teller. We could choose any colours and any numbers to write. Later on some people finished and we went outside to have fruit break.

Respect cartoon

Hi bloggers today I'll be showing you my respect cartoon. For this we had to work with a buddy or work on our own. I decided to work with a Buddy. One person had to take a photo. Me and one of my buddy's decided to be in the photo. After deciding we had to choose something respectful to work on. Me and my group chose to work on Respecting the environment. Me and my group looked for a chip bag in the bin. We took it out for our photo. My buddy Cole put his rubbish in the wrong bin. I came to stop him to tell him it goes in the Landfill. Now he knows which bin is right and wrong. We took photos of it and added it into the boxes. When we took our photos we put speech bubbles so people can know what we're saying. Me and my group went to find someone to take a photo with all of us so people know all of us made it. Lastly we took photos of the bins.

Emergency pack

 Hey there bloggers! Last week on Friday it had been Lock down. Last week Friday morning there was a warning of a Tsunami at 2:00 am. today me and my class had to make a blog about what could you bring if there was an Emergency near you.  If you had to leave your house because maybe because there is an Emergency near you could take..

 bag, blankets/pillows, Sunscreen, Torch/Batteries, umbrella, hat, food(Non-Perishable) drinks, charger/battery bank, fly spray, radio/device, pack of cards/travel games, book, toilet paper/wipes, waterproof jacket, medication, first aid kit.

I don't think I have an emergency kit at my home tho. You can discuss with your families like im going to! Thanks for reading! use some of the gear if it ever happens.

Scooter Skills

 Hi! This term we have been doing scooter skills. We learned new things with a scooter. I liked scootering around because I could feel the nice fresh air. Something I could improve is stopping when the scooter teacher says.
